Distemper is one of the simplest, most traditional interior paints. Made
by binding powdered chalk and pigments (Distemper was originally bound with animal glue). Distemper dries to a
soft, velvet-like texture that is dead flat and chalky in appearance. Porter's Original Distemper allows colours to be reproduced in the manner they were originally made, adding a great depth and opacity that modern day paints cannot achieve. |
| Also available in Deep Base, Distemper can be heavily tinted for dark and
intense colours with incredible richness and depth. With the addition of Distemper Paste to the paint an aged effect with a soft 'bloom' can be created. |

Porter's Crackle medium is a water-based and soluble finish for creating
antique and decorative crackle effects on furniture, walls, picture frames etc. Porter's Crackle medium is used with our Flat or Low Sheen Acrylics. Choose either a coarse cracking or a fine cracking finish. Easy to use, brushes wash out in water. |
