Our All Purpose Clear Sealer has been reformulated and is based on a non-yellowing urethane resin (water based) that has far superior qualities to other water based sealers and allows us to offer it for interior application over dressed timber, timber painted with Milk Paint, or French Wash.

This product is 100% water-based. The coalescent, or drying agent, is USA F.D.A. (Food & Drug Administration) approved product. 3 coats can be applied the same day with 1 hour to 2 hours drying time in average weather. Do not paint after 4.00 pm or in rainy or humid weather.

All Purpose Clear Sealer is a "hard" drying coating that is intended for internal finishes. Its strength and rigidity does not make it suitable for exterior exposed timber areas that expand and contract in hot and cold weather. It is therefore mainly an interior coating. Exterior coatings are usually soft resins which in turn are unsuitable for permanent interior protection.

SPECIFICATION J.1

For the application of All Purpose Clear Sealer to all suitable surfaces.

LOCATION: INTERIOR

1. Surface must be dry and completely free of all dirt and dust. If varnishing over another Porter's product ie French Wash or Milk Paint, allow a minimum of 72 hours to dry, but preferably wait one week to ensure paint is completely cured and hardened before application of sealer. If varnishing over Porter's Wood Wash allow a minimum of 24 hours to dry before sealing.

2. Stir All Purpose Clear Sealer thoroughly and apply sparingly with a lambs wool applicator or brush direct from can. Apply an even coat ensuring that bubbles do not develop in the coating.

3. Allow to dry 1 hour before sanding back lightly. Two or three more coats should then be applied as outlined above.

4. Allow 1 hour drying time between coats. Longer drying time may be required when the temperature is below 20°C.

5. Allow 3 hours drying after final coat before light traffic (i.e. no shoes).

6. Allow 24 hours to fully harden and cure.

SPECIFICATION J.2

For the application of All Purpose Clear Sealer to concrete floors.

LOCATION: INTERIOR

Diluted with about 30% water, All Purpose Clear Sealer is an excellent floor concrete sealer.

After dilution, apply as follows:

1. Stir diluted sealer thoroughly and apply sparingly to floor with a lambs wool applicator or brush. Apply an even coat ensuring that bubbles do not develop in the coating.

2. Allow a minimum of 1 hour drying time between coats. Up to a total of 4 coats may be applied. Longer drying time may be required when the temperature is below 20 º c.

3. Allow to dry 1 hour before sanding back lightly. Two or three more coats should then be applied as outlined above.

4. Allow 1 hour drying time between coats. Longer drying time may be required when the temperature is below 20 º c.

5. Allow 3 hours drying time after final coat before light traffic (i.e. no shoes).

6. Allow 24 hours to fully harden and cure.
